Background & contact

I’m Oswaldo Orona, a Principal Database Administrator at IFS based in Denver, Colorado. I currently work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, Oracle E-Business Suite, performance tuning, migrations, and recovery. My database and geospatial experience began in 1998.

My Master of Computer Science in Data Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) covers machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, data mining, visualization, and distributed systems. I apply that foundation to AI engineering: retrieval, tool-using agents, MCP, and evaluation.
